Dear OPC Family,
As we have previously announced, the OPC office will be undergoing some exciting changes this summer! Renovations are set to begin between May 25th and June 5th and to continue throughout the summer. Because of the extensive nature of these renovations, our office staff will be moving their regular operations to the preschool wing of the first floor until the office is complete.
On May 21st the Session approved an office schedule change for the summer to better accommodate the needs and accessibility of the office staff during this transition. Beginning June 12th the office will be open to in-person visitors 9am-2pm Monday-Thursday, and on Fridays the office staff will be working remotely and accessible via phone and email communications only 9am-2pm. The office will resume its usual schedule of being open 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday on September 1st.
In addition, the office will be closed June 1st through June 7th (reopening on June 8th) as everything is moved out of the office and set up in the preschool wing.
While these renovations are only taking place inside the church library and office spaces, other aspects of the church may be impacted during construction, such as office staff and internet accessibility. Our hope is that everything goes smoothly and work is able to continue as usual, but we know that with renovations there are always unknowns.
We would like to apologize ahead of time for any disruptions that may occur, and to thank you for your patience as we navigate this exciting change! To quote the PA Department of Transportation, this is “a temporary inconvenience for a permanent improvement.”
We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more.
God Bless,
OPC Staff and Geoff Henry, Chair of Administration and Personnel Committee
